Affiliate marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate’s marketing efforts.

Get out a pencil and paper and write down what it felt like when you were driving home from the casino broke, despondent, angry, and depressed. Describe these feelings in detail. You will start to feel those horrible feelings by just writing these down. 4. Visualize in your mind the drive back from the casino. After writing, use this power of visualization to really experience those feelings. Spend a minute or two doing this. After writing down your thoughts and feelings, and then visualizing these, you will truly experience the physiological feelings of the drive back from the casino or other gambling venue. You will not feel good.. trust me. 5. Reward yourself for not gambling. Buy yourself a small gift or a book. Rent a movie and enjoy your time away from gambling. You will feel uplifted and proud of yourself for not giving into your gambling addiction impulse.

ISAPI is the application programming interface to extend the functionality of IIS, Microsoft Internet Information Server. IIS supports many scripting languages such as ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, JSP. However, for certain tasks that are orthogonal to a specific http request, an ISAPI filter is the best match. ISAPI filters are native DLLs written in a native language. They become part of the IIS server and extend it’s functionality in ways that cannot be implemented using ASP.NET or other server side technologies.

For an incoming http request, an ISAPI Filter is invoked before ASP.NET, or any other server side programming layer. For outgoing http requests, ISAPI filters are invoked after ASP.NET has completed it’s execution. This order of events and scope of control gives the ISAPI filters a special priviledge to literally do whatever they want. ISAPI Filter is the gate keeper.

It started about 10 years ago when i wanted a small website to sell the program I wrote. I just needed an html page that I would type by hand and upload to the server via ftp. I shopped around and found a hosting company. It was all nice for a while. Then my web operations started to grow along with my ambitions.

Technology has improved, hosting prices have come down. We now see claims of unlimited disk space, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited mysql databases, ssh access, php, asp, jsp, ruby support in web hosting plans. All for five dollars a month.

Well, as you can guess, you get what you pay for. However, I think there is value in going through details and look behind the smoke screen to see what surprises awaits us behind these too good to be true shared web hosting plans.
