Wednesday, September 10th, 2008The Politics of Survival By Mark_E_Henry So the big attack against Barack Obama comes down to “He lacks experience.” Is that all they’ve got? So what if he does. We’ve dealt with presidents that were sneaky, greedy, stupid, detached from the common people and warmongers that would send 85% of the people of this nation into poverty to cater to a small, rich, few. Those presidents have been experienced republicans that each put private gain over public obligation and special interests over the common good. At this point, the American economy, global ecology and world peace are all on the brinks of extinction. This is not the time to cling to political party loyalties, race based decisions or the blindness that has led the U.S. economy into its current sorry state. This is the time for rational individuals to honestly evaluate where we as a nation and as a planet are headed in the immediate future. We are approaching a $1 trillion annual trade deficit. We have record high energy prices coupled with record high energy company profits.
